Hi, so nice to meet you here!

 

My name is Kim, a 31 year old Dutch girl from the Netherlands, chasing the good life in Mexico. But how did I end up here?

I was happy with the life I was living in the Netherlands together with my husband Yass and chihuahua Hugo. A nice office job, a new apartment, and plenty of fun things to do. But I couldn't help but think...is this it? Without even realizing it, we were living weekend to weekend, eating unhealthy and needing alcohol to have fun. There was a longing to discover what else life could be. How can we lead a better, happier, healthier life?

My husband Yass has always loved Playa del Carmen ever since his first trip here at 18 years old. During our month-long honeymoon in 2022, he showed me what life here could be like. A community of people focused on their health, both physically and mentally, spending time and finding joy in nature, and so many dog owners! Not to mention the amazing climate and delicious food.

So, we took the leap and moved to Mexico, the three of us, not knowing how much it would elevate our lives.

As a fine-line tattoo artist in Playa del Carmen, I meet so many wonderful people everyday. Not just while working, but even during something as simple as walking Hugo.

I want to show you just how beautiful life can be, so I'm sharing my "Sweet" journey through blogs about living here and capturing it all in weekly vlogs on YouTube.
